KidScape & Indoor Picnic

Today we had a great morning! We headed to the Johnson County History Museum's KidScape exhibit. It's a free exhibit and it's right up the street. It literally took up about 3 minutes to drive there. We met 6 of her play group friends (and moms) there as well. Here she is before we left, showing off her smile.

What a neat exhibit! It's a small-sized town complete with a bookstore, park, City Hall, hospital, fashion boutique, and theater. Mallory's favorite was the theater. She did her arabesque for a small audience.

There was a backstage complete with a ton of costumes for the kids to wear. Mallory just wore this cape. It got a little crazy in the theater with older kids, so I decided to needed to move to another scene. Too bad Mallory did not want to do that. She threw a fit! It was close to lunch time, so we decided to leave.

Because of the rain last night and sticky weather today, we decided to have an indoor picnic at our house. Some of her friends and their moms ate lunch on blankets in our living room.

After lunch, the kids ran around the living room and kitchen. Then there was a bit of a tickle fest. Here's Mallory laughing and having a good time with her friends. What a fun morning!
