Travel Day #1 - Kona to Portland

I always meant to get pictures of the condos. But I always seemed to forget. I managed to snap a few this morning before we left. The coolest part was the patio that overlooked the golf course. We never really used it. But it had a nice wet bar out there and everything.

While we finished up packing, the girls hung out at the other condo. We left a day earlier than my siblings because we could get a direct flight to the mainland. It just made traveling so much easier. My parents actually stayed a couple more days and went to Oahu.

Mallory loved going upstairs to Chase and Deanna's loft/bedroom. She just thought it was so cool.

Edee loved going up to the loft too. The spiral staircase made me a bit nervous. But Papa was with her.

We said our goodbyes and headed off. We stopped at a lookout point not to far from our condo that we had passed a couple of times. Today was the first day that wasn't really overcast and hazy. So good thing we saved it for our last day.

We arrived at the Kona airport with plenty of time. The flight to Portland wasn't too bad. Edee kept kicking the seat in front of her from her car seat. I did everything I could to stop her, but it just didn't work. Edee only slept about 1 hour, because another little baby started screaming and woke her up. Argh. Oh, well. We managed.

We arrived in Portland to find everyone in winter coats. We only brought light jackets, but it was fine. A shuttle arrived to take us to our hotel. We checked in and settled down to sleep.

Edee woke up in the middle of the night screaming. I got her calmed down and attempted to put her back in the pack-n-play. Too bad she continued screaming. So I put her in bed with me and Mallory. She slept between us. I literally had a sliver of the bed to sleep on. Oh, well. Edee and Mallory both slept.
