Yesterday the whole family made it to church. This is the first time in awhile. So I took some cute pictures of the girls before we left.
I could only get Edee to smile if she was holding a saucer from their tea set.
Edee loves playing peek-a-boo. That's the easy way to get her to smile.
This morning I was brushing my teeth when Mallory walks in hysterical. She was crying because she bummed her camera into her face. I'm really not sure how. But it knocked her tooth out and she didn't realize it. Luckily it was still in her mouth (otherwise we would have more hysterics!). She gave me the tooth and went off to her room to cry. I was baffled. Once she finally calmed down I realized she was upset because she wanted to the tooth to come out on it's own. We had talked about the tooth coming out "on it's own." What I really meant was that I wasn't going to pull it. Once I got her to understand that, she was excited about losing her first tooth. She was so excited she had to call Nana and Grandma to tell them. Grandma (Steve's mom) was so happy that Mallory wanted to share the news with her. It was sweet.
Last year Mallory received this great homemade tooth fairy pillow from my aunt for her birthday. There's a pocket on the back for the tooth with her initials on it. At the time I thought it was a little premature. I guess Aunt Becky knew better than I did. Mallory lost her first tooth before she turned 5.
Mallory's teeth are spaced apart so much that it looks like she lost 2 teeth. Nope. Just 1 came out. BTW, the dentist says her teeth spacing is really good. There's room for the bigger adult teeth to fit.
So I guess it's official....she's my big girl now. I'm a little sad by this. Glad she's not starting kindergarten next week.....that might be too much for me to handle.
